Well, I went to my ultrasound appointment back in November. The Radiologist couldn’t understand why my surgeon is opting for just ultrasounds. After I told him about my dense breast tissue reason, he was so perplexed. He said in all the years he’s done this job, he’s never heard of ultrasounds only. He informed me, ultrasounds MISS calcifications and that I NEED both. He told me he would inform my doctor after my ultrasound that a mammogram is still needed. My doctor called with my ultrasound results and said everything looked great. Nothing further is required. I was shocked!
I called my OBGYN office and scheduled my annual with them & asked for a mammogram too! Of course, they said yes.
Last week I had my annual pap & mammogram. Within 24 hours, I had a clean mammogram report (phewwww) but she would like me to get a uterine biopsy. Apparently, my PCOS is acting up and causing all sorts of issues. She wants to rule out any issues. So, more screening next week - ultrasound of uterus & ovaries PLUS they will be pulling tissue out of my uterus for testing.
I swear, im just going to have them rip all that out too. Im so sick of these issues.
Anyhow, I’ve decided to switch surgeons for sure. Im meeting my new surgeon on January 4th. Im praying I love her. I really want all this done and over with. Im so very scared and have very limited help. But, some how, some way, I will make this work.
Oh Lord be with me and guide me!
Hopefully, if I remember, I’ll be back to post results again. And my new surgeon experience! Maybe some dates 😬😬😬!!!!
